Sadly, this contest is
over. The
response was brilliant (quite filled up my old email files
with messages) and I thank everyone who entered. I'm sorry
all of you couldn't win. I promised to give two books away,
but as my publisher Warner Aspect kindly sent me a spare I
decided to give three away instead. The winners are:
- Judy Reinhardt of
ptd.net
- Seth Harthun of
berkley.edu
- Kelly Lentz of
onramp.net
Galley copies are bound proofs of
a book, produced at great expense by a publisher (in this
case Warner Aspect) for marketing and publicity purposes.
The pages in galleys are actually photocopied, not
printed, and as a result they are more expensive than
finished books to produce. As they are produced in such
limited numbers they are highly collectible.
